“AT&T is like an overweight slob that’s been given a chance to date a supermodel; if it doesn’t shape up soon, it’ll be easily replaced.” -CNN Article
I would love to get an iPhone, however, I won’t switch back to AT&T for it, it’s just not worth it to me. I’ll wait for the 3rd Gen iPhone when it’s available on T-Mobile.
You have to wait a half-decade. Apple has said the deal with AT&T is exclusive for 5 years.
I’m waiting for a 3G version, but I don’t particularly mind switching to The Network Formally Known As Cingular. They have equal coverage to LA out here and their data plans are much cheaper. Arthur has the T-Mobile Dash and it costs over $90/month before taxes/fees/first born. The same plan is $60 with AT&T before the same aforementioned.
That’s ok I’ll wait. AT&T’s customer service leaves much to be desired. Besides, I figure by then the iPhone will really kick butt.
Ironically enough, I was calling around looking for anyone with remaining iPhone stock, I called an Apple store and 4 AT&T stores. The AT&T stores picked up after 2 or less rings and were extremely polite (Especially shocking since I assume they are dealing with callers like me all day “Do you have any remaining iPhones in stock?” over and over). When I called the Apple store it rang for around 3 minutes before I gave up and called back 5 minutes later, this time it rang about 8 times before someone answered. When I asked if they had any remaining iPhones the guy on the phone sounded very annoyed a responded with a snappy “No”.
