Yesterday I stood in line to get my flu shot. The line twisted and turned all around the Cleveland Clinic office in Willoughby Hills. People trying to fill out forms, legions of elderly standing in line complaining about standing in line, crying babies, and lots of interesting people watching.
After 45 minutes of waiting in line, it took 3 seconds to get my shot. But at least now I won’t get the flu.
Actually, the shot is only good for a few varieties of flu, as I understand. The health people take there best shot, no pun intended, at guessing which variants are going to spread. I believe it is a mixture of several. Lets hope they got it right. If not, your shot and mine will have been useless.
Here in Toronto, Canada, the shots are free. Sounds like they were there, too.
