The move this weekend went pretty smoothly. I will definitely be using movers next time we move as well. They were there at 9:00 am on Friday to load up the truck and were finished unpacking at the new apartment in less than an 3 hours including driving time to the new apartment. For $200, it was really worth it to not have to worry about it.
Of course moving always causes you to have to throw things away and by new items. Two large things we purchased were a new couch and TV. We didn’t realize how bad the couch looked until it was moved into the new apartment. We got a really great deal on a new couch which is being delivered on Thursday.
I’ve been wanting to get an HD TV for a long time now and was planning to get one with my year-end bonus. Well the move seemed like a perfect time to get one. I did some research and ended up getting a Sony Bravia which I’m very happy with.
Of course we had to get Digital HD Cable and the HD DVR to go with it. That will be installed on Saturday. We got a really great deal on the package and it doesn’t cost much more than we were paying before.
