New Job

I was offered a new job I was posting for at work. Starting July 10, I’ll be working in the Marketing and Customer Experience group with the fancy sounding title of Experience Process Consultant.

Getting a new bike

So I need a new bike and I’m seriously considering getting an iXi. It just looks so cool.

I am smart

I just got the letter in the mail confirming I was on the Dean’s List during my first semester back in school. I think it’s peanut butter jelly time!

Big Brother

Tonight marks the return of Big Brother. Yes, I know what you’re thinking. You want to know why I like Big Brother, don’t you? Well I can’t really answer that other than to turn it around and ask, how can you not?

This season brings back best of the characters from the previous six seasons. If you haven’t watched it before, definitely take a chance and watch it this summer.

Now I have to go before these thunderstorms come rumbling through.

A Christmas Present Idea

I absolutely want a Nintendo Wii when they come out.

My MacBook

Yesterday I ordered my new MacBook from Apple.com. I ordered the 2.0 Ghz white version. Besides the fact that I feel the black version is “un-Apple” I just can’t fathom spending $200 more just for black. It’s expected ship date is June 13th but I’m hoping for sooner.

It will affectionately be called Claudius. Courtney becomes the proud new owner of my old G4 iBook, take care of Tiberius for me. )

Let’s beat that dead horse again…

So once again Bush and the Bigot Bunch headed to defeat in trying to pass the anti-gay marriage amendment. What amazes me is how he so transparently pulls out this issue whenever he’s in trouble and the sheepish right-wing conservative Christians fall in line and they don’t see how they’re simply being used in Bush’s game. I could only imagine what Jesus would say about that if he walked the earth today.

Personally I have a simple solution to the problem. The government should get out of the marriage business. The government has no place administering a religious institiution. Instead replace it completely with civil unions. These unions would be nothing more than a contract between two people, any two people, who choose to enter into a legaly binding contract to support each other. Let the churches have their sacrament back.
