So this weekend I was alone at home, well, when I wasn’t doing family stuff for my sister’s graduation.
I had a few movies to watch from Netflix. The first was The Contender which was somewhat interesting but thoroughly disappointing at the end. The second movie I saw, which I have to thank Ryan’s many positive comments for pushing me to watch it, was About a Boy. Although I am far from a Hugh Grant fan I have to say that I really enjoyed this movie, he wasn’t nearly as annoying as he normally is and the plot of this movie was a refreshing change from what I’ve been watching as of late.
As a surprise for Adam when he got home today I got him tickets to see The Fray when they come to the House of Blues next month. And perhaps just as a peace offering so he wouldn’t be mad that I spent a few hundred dollars today at Target and Costco.
I’m very glad you watched one of my all-time favorites. Hugh Grant is no fluffy actor in that film, contrary to other appearances.
How can you possibly spend that much at Target? I wandered around Target today for almost 45 minutes and only bought $58 worth of goods for my summer apartment. Spending $100 would have been a struggle.
Well it’s easy to spend money at Target when you have no self-control
.
Actually it was mostly two things:
- Bedding. I bought new sheets and a new blanket
- Ties. I bought 3 new ties that I saw there I liked.
And then a bunch of odds and ends and add it all up, and you have lots of money.
Isn’t “About A Boy” great? Certainly one of my favorite movies. And way to go spending money at two of my favorite stores. Good work!
