We’ll leave the light on

Last weekend Adam and I went to Niagara Falls. I had gone there almost once a year but it had been some time since Adam had gone. We also went with two of my friends from work.

I found a really great two-night deal at the Embassy Suites Niagara Falls for an awesome fallsview room which included a dinner voucher and weekend shuttle service around Niagara. To make a long story short, the room they originally gave us wasn’t acceptible, the second room smelled like the Malboro Man had died in it, so in the end we ended up with a Junior Presidential Suite. Other than the room issues at the beginning the hotel was very nice.

Falls Adam and the Lake Bedroom
We only had one full day there so we spent some time the first evening at the casino and looking at the falls. The next day we went to some of the crazy museums on Clifton Hill, visited a few wineries, and headed up to Niagara On The Lake. It was nice to finally take a little trip somewhere, I really must do it more often.

This week I have a conference for work so I’ll be gone from Monday until Thursday. All I can hope is that the food is good but the conference resort looks promising.

And this Thursday is my confirmation where I’ll officially become a member of the Episcopal Church.

Relaxing before bed

Sometimes I like to drink a little chamomile tea before bed to help me relax. Of course nothing goes better with it than some good sugar-free imitation honey. )

Pencil me in

Google released Google Calendar today. It’s definitely pretty nice. I had been trying 30boxes but I was never very impressed with its visual appearance. I’m very happy with it.

Also I ordered a Dell Axim X51v PDA in an effort to better organize my life. Adam tells me I can sync it with my Lotus Notes at work which is nice. The built-in bluetooth and WiFi makes me even happier.

Time after time

I tell you what, I am getting burnt out. I just feel like I never have enough time lately.

Work is extremely busy because I’ve been given this huge project that is gigantic in scope and all the divisions it needs to coordinate. Don’t get me wrong, it’s exciting and I love the opportunity but it’s definitely draining.

Then there’s school which again I really enjoy but it again is a huge drain on my time. Add to that choir, church, and other various activities and I basically have no free time. Oh and did I mention I was just put on Cathedral Council? There goes more time.

All of things I do I absolutely love, but pretty soon I’m going to have to make some time for me.

Fast Driving

Adam came to pick me up from work today and I had somewhere to be and I wanted to get there quickly.

I told him, “put your foot on the metal!”

He kindly pointed out that the saying is “put the pedal to the metal.”

Spring

Just a neat shot out at Edgewater Park as we were driving home.
